1 Hand-Forged Over-the-Door Hook
Renters often can't put a single nail in the wall, so a hook that simply hangs over the top of a door is a quietly useful thing to bring. This one is forged by hand on a Pennsylvania farm, with a twisted shank and a black painted finish, and it lifts off again on moving day with no screws involved.
A friend moving into a rental where the lease says no holes, who needs somewhere for a coat, a bathrobe or a tote bag.
It solves the first-week problem of where things hang, and the hand-forged twist makes a plain utility hook look like a small piece of ironwork.
The shop doesn't recommend it for exterior doors with weatherstripping, since the door may not close properly. It's made to order, so allow a little extra time. Custom sizes can be requested from the shop.
